HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had to buy a new computer and now I'm having difficulty in setting up my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a to scan to the appropriate network folder on my computer.  I need hlp identifying the Network Path Display Name and User Name.  I'm running Windows 10S.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Here's a video to show you how it's done:

Scan to Network Folder (HP Officejet Pro 8700 series)

(different printer but the steps are the same)

For more scanning tips, click here.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the video.  My version of the Network Folder Setup screen for the HP Officejet Pro8600 N911a doesn't give me an option to browse for a network path.  I'm probably not entering the proper syntax for the network path.  The screen gives me an example (\\mypc\shared\folder), but I've tried various paths with no success.

Any further examples I could try?  When I open Windows Explorer, here's a portion of the potential paths:

This PC

  Desktop

    Documents

      College Related

Can someone help with an example syntax I should follow if I wanted to have the scanned docs go to the "College Related" folder?
