I've recently moved home during which I've lost my HP installation CD.
Now I have a new PC I cannot not install the software.
What is missing is the HP Solutions Centre for a HP Scanjet G2410.
HP no longer support the scanner and don't have any legacy software. (I've checked with them)
The do have a generic driver but it offers just basic photoscanning.
The Solutions Centre provided all the setting to enable PDF and various editing settings.
Does anyone out there have a copy of the Solutions Centre?
Many thanks

Hi
Try this Solution:
- Download only this file: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
- Close all programs
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the msi.
OPTIONAL:
- Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
- Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
- Right-Click on "HPScan.exe" > Select Pin to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
Kind Regards

Thanks Andrew. A question before I begin.
I'm unsure about you meaning run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo >
Do you mean that in the command window I need to type combo and then return?
What should I type in the command window.
Else can I just double click the file in the download folder?
Many thanks

Sorry Andrew, further questions.
The name of the downloaded file is HPScanExt.
Does this mean it is an extension?
Do I first have to install the HP generic driver?
The download is only 5MB. Should it contain the whole Solutions Centre?

Yes, with the extension = msi
@Metzke1 wrote:Do I first have to install the HP generic driver?
Yes, HP Scanjet Basic Feature Driver , read all infos.

That's true, as there hasn't been a Solution Center for a very long time.
