Spam filters: 'Missing required header field: "Date"'

I have setup my MFP M477fdw to do scan to email. Technically seen, this works, i can scan and I can see the message reach the SMTP Server.

The subsequent pass to the spam filter though does flag all messages coming from the printer as spam, as the mandatory 'Date' field for emails is never sent by the Scanner

Is there any way to set that scanner to actually conform to the internet standards and add a Date: field into the emails to not make spam filters trip over it?

Same printer, same problem.

The missing date drags down the spam score heavily. Which ends up most definitely in the spam folder of the receiver.
