Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I am trying to scan a multi-page document that is a mix of pictures and text. It is not letting me rename the pages so that I can put them in order in a folder. It is also replacing a new page with one previously saved. I've never had a scanner this crazy! Help!

Thanks for your suggestions. My Mac was up to date and I was using HP Smart. Took an hour and 45 minutes, but at last  I got a tech who helped me.  I needed to name individual pages, and it IS possible, although not easy to find out how to do it.

@rtcfrtc1950, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

To assist you better, which app are you using to scan?

Use the HP Smart app or the HP Easy Scan app from the App Store to scan and check if that helps.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

You can scan a multi-page document and save it as PDF or JPG. You may rename this file that contains documents. However, you cannot rename individual pages.
