Power Cycle the Printer:

Verify Paper Settings:

  • Ensure the paper you are using matches the settings configured on the printer. Incorrect paper settings may cause issues with copying.

Check Copy Functionality and Settings

Inspect the Printer for Errors:

  • Check for any error messages on the printer's display that might be affecting the copying process.

Clean the Scanner Glass and ADF:

  • Dust or dirt on the scanner glass or Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) can affect copying quality. Clean these parts with a lint-free cloth.

Verify Copy Settings:

  • Double-check the copy settings on the front panel of the printer. Ensure the copy mode is set correctly, and no settings are causing restrictions.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure the printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can download the latest firmware from the HP Support website.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer while it is powered on, and disconnect any USB cables. Press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Plug the printer back in and attempt a copy.

Perform Printer Diagnostics:
