Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

The scanner crashes when I try to save the document as a PDF. I have reinstalled the App but it still has the same issue. It scans okay but won't let me save it as a PDF file. This issue has only just started happening. How can I resolve the problem? My computer is a MACOS Ventura 13.6.6 and the printer/scanner is a HP deskjet 2600.

Kind regards

Fiona

I have been scanning to PDF. It scans as a PDF but when I try to save it to my documents it crashes, then a box comes up saying "HP Easy Scan quit unexpectedly" and gives me a long report.

Can you save to OTHER area, and do NOT use save as to see what it is.

No it won't allow me to save it as a PDF no matter where I send it to. I can save it as a JPEG or PNG but not a PDF. It just keeps crashing everytime I try to send it. The problem has only been happening in the past few weeks. Prior to that I never had a problem.

Sounds like you DID NOT scan to PDF from the beginning that why it tries to save as image file(s). By default is scan documents as PDF files and photos as Image files. Please us HP Smart app to scan as mentioned of page 49 of the following manual

Sorry BH, I have been using the HP smart app and scanning as a PDF but it still crashes when I try to send it. I'm really not sure why it's doing this now when it hadn't been doing it a few weeks ago.
