Product: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw

As of yesterday, September 19th 2023, the software when I open the HP Smart icon looked different and my scanner ceased to save scans stating, "There is not enough free storage space to complete the operation".  What on Earth is this nonsense?  Any suggestions on how to get it to save onto my vast desktop or DropBox?

My whimper was heard by someone and the iMac App was fixed.  Monday everything was working again.  

 

If yours is still fubar try deleting the app and reloading it.  If that isn't enough turn off the computer and turn off the printer to reboot.  If that's not enough.  Delete the printer from your hard drive and reload.  I had done all of the above the week prior, and then the App was sorted over the weekend.

I am having the same problem on a new MacBook Pro M3.  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled to no avail.  
The "get more help" option does not help a bit!  
Sure wish HP Smart Scan was still available as it works fine on my 2017 iMac!

This actually worked, uninstall scanner app that is throwing this error, search for the printer model in hp get the right drivers for mac and reinstall, worked for me!
