Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer
Other

OS: MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1

App: HP Smart version 17.5.1.2733

The scanner stopped working suddenly.

When I try to scan using scanner glass, I get the following error message.

Error Message: There was a problem during scanning. Check the scanner and try again.

There is nothing on the scanner glass. I tried with and without paper on the scanner glass -> same error.

I tried restarting the printer -> same error

The error message is useless, it does not say what to do. It says "Check the scanner", so I did, it looked the same as 5 minutes before when the scanner was working.

It worked when I restarted the HP Smart application.

Suggestion to HP:

- Change the error message to: "Try restarting the HP Smart app"

- Make the HP Smart actually "smart" by restarting itself in such cases.
