I have my LaserJet  MFP M140w (5ECBFA) and downloaded HP Smart on my Iphone, all the times I do a Camera scan I takes the half day at least to get the email with the pdf. Why does it take so long?

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

Yes, half a day is a while to wait.

 

We do not have a way to know why it takes longer than you like.

 

For example, delays might be the result of...

  •  Network traffic in your area.  What?  Phones use Data Networks -- they are slow or fast depending on the signal strength, the resources available, perhaps even your data plan.
  • The HP server farm where these requests are handled --  Should there be an actual problem, HP is notified so repairs can be implemented.  (Service problems are not a common occurrence -- No, we cannot check.)
  • Might be delays by your own email provider.

It might be faster to bypass the Scan to Email process, that is, don't use Scan-to-Email if you know it is slow.

 

Make sure you have a strong signal to your nearest cellular tower / connection point.

 

Open HP Smart on your iPhone

Scan / Capture the PDF / Image you want

Save the content to your device.

Open and compose an email > attach the saved file > send to one or more recipients
