HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have a MacBook Pro and an HP 6968 All-In-One. I have no problem printing to the printer, but I when trying to scan the All-In-One tells me "No computer Found" "To scan to a computer, make sure that the scanning software has been installed and    configured on your device." "Mac OS X: The HP recommended software is required for this feature. If installed, open HP Utility. Under' Scan Settings', click 'Scan to Computer', and ensure that 'Enable Scan to Computer' is selected."

I have downloaded the "HP Smart App", can't find anything named "HP Utility".  When I go to 'Scan' (on HP Smart), and  go to 'Scan to Computer' it tells me "You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact the person who set up the printer." I am the person who set up the printer and have NOOOO CLUE! Lol HELPPPP!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Enabling Scan to computer using HP Utility may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1.) On your Mac, click Finder, click Applications, click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, then double-click HP Utility. (If HP Utility is not available, download and install the printer essential software from here

2.) Under Scan Settings, click Scan to Computer, then make sure the Enable Scan to Computer check box is selected.

3.) Try to scan.

Let me know if this helps.
