Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me please? I have scanned multiple images in the past with the HP Smart app. When I go to the file to email the scanned images it only allows me to send one at a time. Is there a way of bundling a few together to send in a single email? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are are unable to select multiple scanned images to send an email. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • Which file format did you save the scanned images, PDF or JPEG?

Meanwhile

You have option to select only one scanned image to send email.

However, you can scan multiple images from printer ADF and save them as one PDF file and attach it to the email.

Refer this HP document to understand more about HP Smart App:- https://hp.care/2t6hP6w

Let  me know if that helps.

Cheers.

@sandytechy20,

Hiya. thank you for your reply & the link. I had already found that link before I posted my question, which didn't help me sadly. I know how to send direct to email but my images are scans from some time ago. (Using the same printer/app/iPad) It is those images I need to send in an email but preferably not singularly. In answer to your question, they were jpeg format. I did manage to solve it this time by exporting them to the Line chat app, saving them all in my photo's, & then sent the whole lot as pictures rather than attachments. (although it took some time so I would prefer to find out if there's a 'proper' way to do it for future reference). Here's hoping you can help me  .... ☺️ (Also, if sending direct to email, can I do that to someone else's email, or just my own where it says I receive a code? As you can tell, I'm not very tech savvy, lol.

You're welcome. 🙂

As @sandytechy20 is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. I truly appreciate your efforts and patience.

I tried to use the HP Smart app on Android though. I found that it does not allow you to select multiple scanned images at once. But what I found was, after you select one image at a time, then it gives you a small icon to add another image from the list of images:

The icon should looks like the below one:

This way you can select and add the images one by one and then send them at once to an email address.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to let me know how it goes.

All the best! 🙂

Hiya.

Sadly I couldn't find the 'add' thumbnail which you are referring to. 😕 I entered the app & went to a folder where I had two old scans saved. I viewed the first one which showed me the options to share or print. (Pic 1 at the top) I then hit share (pic 2 at the bottom) It doesn't give me the option to add another sheet at this point. If I then hit the app I want to send it to, it just sends the first, again, without the option to add another .... what am I doing wrong? It just looks like multiples can't be sent with old saved scans, only newly scanned images which need to be shared immediately?

Many thanks for your patience. 🙂

Here is an HP video that explains how to add multiple scanned images before sending out an email: https://hp.care/2kPzAlq
NOTE: Please do not click on any ads or other third party links this website.

At 1:42 (1 minutes and 42 seconds) it will show you how to add the second file in the HP Smart app.

In case the option is absent then you may try to update your iOS and then uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app again.

Hope this works out. Let me know the results.

Cheers!

Hiya,

Thank you for the video. Unfortunately, that's not what I'm after, I know how to scan, how to add more scans & then email. As in my original question, I ALREADY have scanned images saved (from months ago), it's those images I now want to resend  in bulk, but there is no option, which I can find, to do so .... I can only find how to send each of them individually, as per my screenshots.
