I have a OfficeJetPro 8035e from which I used to be able to perform manual duplex (two-sided) scans with the HP scan software on Windows 10.
I just changed for Windows 11, and the HP Scan Helper isn't able to find my printer and therefor not able to open up the HP Scan utility.
I did a full reset of my printer, reconfigured it, made sure I was able to print to it, but still can't find it from the HP Scan Helper.
Windows 11 Scan app is able to perform a scan, but does not know how to do the duplex scan (HP Scan used to ask me to turn over pages so it can then scan the other side of the pages)
Is there a solution of if I'm doomed ?

The last thing I tried was to run "HP Print and Scan Doctor software" to try to find out the issue.
I ran everything related to the scan issue (as everything was running smoothly on the print side of things) and, magically, it fixed the issue !!! Not, if I start HP Scan, I have the same options as on Windows 10, where I can perform a "manual" duplex scan.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8030e-all-in-one-printer-series/mode...
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan Duplex with what you have previously with Win 10.
Hope that helps.

I deleted everything HP-related in my computer, then restarted it, then tried to install from the link you sent.
The software does start, recognizes my printer, then asks to wait while looking up for required software and eventually, the "HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series" windows goes all white, and nothing more happens.
By the way, I'm running it with a non-admin user, which asks for the admin password that I provide.
As soon as I have some more time, I'll start the installation directly as an admin user, but I don't think it will make any difference.

Did try again as an administrator on the computer, and it did not change anything. The link provided does not seem to work on Windows 11.
So digging into support website, I was able to find out the HP Smart for Windows 11 (version 16.8.12 instead of the link provided which points to 13.4.8). This one allowed to setup the printer, fax and scan. That said, if I try to run the HP Scan app, it ends up with a windows saying that:
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series was not found
So I can print, fax but not scan.
I fact, from the Microsoft scan app, I can scan. I can select flatbed or document feeder, but this app does not know how to duplex scan, as HP Scan used to do.
