Hi @WoGuM,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Ensure Printer and Software are Updated
Make sure both your HP Envy 7305 printer and the HP Smart app are updated to the latest version.
Prepare Photos for Scanning
- Place Photos: Place your photos on the scanner glass. Arrange them with a small gap between each photo.
- Alignment: Ensure the photos are aligned properly and not overlapping.
Use HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart App: Launch the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select Scan: Click on the "Scan" option in the app.
Configure Settings
- Scan Type: Select the appropriate scan type (e.g., "Scan Photos").
- Resolution: Choose the scan resolution suitable for your needs (higher resolution for better quality).
- Output Format: Choose the desired format for your scanned photos, such as JPEG or PDF.
Perform the Scan
- Initiate Scan: Click the "Scan" button in the app.
- Preview: Review the scan preview and adjust settings if necessary.
Save or Edit
- Edit if Necessary: Use the editing tools provided in the HP Smart app to crop, rotate, or enhance your photos.
- Save: Save the scanned photos to your desired location.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Software Conflicts: Ensure no other scanning software is running that might conflict with HP Smart.
- Restart Devices: Restart both the printer and the device running the HP Smart app.
- Clean Scanner Glass: Ensure the scanner glass is clean to avoid scan quality issues.
- Multiple Photos Issue: If scanning multiple photos is still problematic, try scanning one photo at a time and use editing tools to merge them later.
I hope this helps.
