You are welcome. 🙂 I appreciate you taking your valuable time to troubleshoot. 

 

I understand that you have tried all steps that were exchanged in the posts so far. However, you could try to use the Windows Fax and Scan feature which should be inbuilt in Windows 7. 

  • Click on Start and type Windows Fax and Scan in the search box.
  • The Windows Fax and Scan windows opens up and you can try to scan. 

 You could also re-try the steps from this forums thread (http://hp.care/2ikxPdk) to check the WIA Service and Restart the Dependencies services.

Hello,

    Thanks for you being with me for troubleshooting my problem. At last I found the problem. There was some problem with windows 7, But I don't know what it is. But, after I upograded to windows 10, everything was functioning fine including scanning. When I tried to perform scan&doctor for the first time, it was fine. But, after a while the error came again as shown in image below. I restarted everything but not solved. Please tell me what could be the problem as it was fine at first attempt but later given error. Thank you.

Happy New Year to you! You are most welcome. I'm glad that the issue got fixed after upgrading to Windows 10.

 

TWAIN is actually an inbuilt service in Windows. It should be available ways without any intervention from us. I cannot make any speculations as to why it stopped working. But the upgrade to Windows 10 took care of it initially.

 

I suggest you to download and install the Windows 10 compatible drivers for this printer and this should take care of printing and scanning too: http://hp.care/2hHs2Sy
