Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Yesterday I used the Chat feature on the HP Support Assistant to resolve a scanning issue.  I was eventually transferred to a guy named "Rick" in Tech Support.  He attempted to talk me through a remedy, but I was having a problem following his instructions.  He then asked to log onto my Desktop so that he could resolve the issue for me.  He resolved the issue but informed me that he found 2 Trojan viruses on my computer.  He offered to remove them for me.  This began a process that eventually cost me $299.00.   When I received the invoice, I noticed that the technician was not affiliated with HP but with a company called US Repairs.  How did this happen?!!!

I am sorry for this.

It sounds like you landed on a Not-HP site and were scammed.

There are thousands of scam sites --

It's easy to trip over one and fall victim to professional thieve and bald-tailed-vermin.

HP Support Assistant does not have a "Chat" window, nor would the application transfer to to anyone --

Certainly the application would not transfer you to "Rick" who wanted to take a walk-about in your computer.

I am not sure what happened but it did not happen with HP.

I will forward your concern to our Community Moderators.

Should there be a response, the agent will leave a message here before using any other means to contact you.
