I am trying to scan a document and email it. The internet technician put HP smart on my computer to use for this. When I try to email a scanned document to someone it doesn’t go through and it shows my email in the from area incorrectly. It has an”A” at the end of it. I checked my printer and the HP smart and they both have my email address correct. Why am I unable to send a scanned document to an email address? Why is my email address wrong? Where could it be wrong at that is causing this? Thank you!!

Hi @Chaser2
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
You will have to redo the setup from the EWS page of the printer.
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
- Go to Scan > Scan to email and follow the instructions.
Kindly refer to this document for more info. (applies to Officejet printers)
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
