I no longer have the option to print a scanned item from HP Smart. I used to be offered a print button and a save button. Now the print button is gone and I have a save button and a share button. I have run diagnostic tool within Smart. downloaded and ran the Print and Scan Doctor but to no avail. I have ran Windows tools, again to no avail. My printer is printing and scanning from my pc, it is accepting and printing from my Android devices and it is accepting and printing from HP online. The big issue is that in order to print an item I have scanned I have to save it and then print from that save. I have tried unplugging and powering down both the printer and windows, again to no avail. I cannot find any reference to this specific problem on HP Support site. Any assistance would be appreciated.

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for an HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Use this link to download and install the new driver. Configure the printer and try printing.

So unfortunately neither the Community nor Support have any answers to my problem. Neither can they say if the problem lies within Windows or HPs inability to create a driver update to solve the problem. I have done everything suggested by HP short of uninstalling and reinstalling Windows which I am not prepared to do at this time.I am so disappointed that HP takes a stance of tough as my printer is out of warranty though less than 2 years old. Given the circumstances I am not prepared to purchase another HP product so my next printer will see me revert back to epson or possibly Lexmark depending on value. Pity really as my 2600 looked and worked good initially having been purchased for its excellent ability to take print jobs from our phones.
