Product: HP Envy 7800
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

Unable to scan from feeder both sides. Previous solutions posted in 2017 no longer exist. There are no popup menu choice for 2-sided scanning. I can print 2-sided, but no option for 2-sided.

Hi,

Your printer does not support automatic duplex scanning or copying, only duplex printing can be done automatically.

 

You may try scanning with HP Easy Start, from the Presets menu click Edit Settings.

Change the scan source to Feeder and see if you may find any option to scan both sides manually there.

If no such option is listed I afraid it cannot be done by the HP Scanning software for your printer.

 

For HP Easy Start to work with Catalina, please also make sure that your Mac is fully updated with the latest version of macOS 10.15.3, click the Apple Icon and then About This Mac to find your current version and install available updates.

I don't like the answer. I think the product description was misleading. All in One that does duplex printing but not duplex scanning. Hmm! Hmmm!

Well, most HP Consumer printers only support automatic duplex printing, only select consumer printer models supports duplex scanning (such as the HP Officejet Pro 9010, 7740, 6970 printers for example)

 

Could you clarify what information you refer to? May you include a link with this information?
