1. Incorrect credentials "go back"  for gmail using 465 or 587

2. Protocol not supported "click OK to go back" for AOL

• Note the comments that explain the requirement for an installed email program on the computer.
• Examples of "installed email" programs include Outlook (the program installed on the computer, not the Web based model), and Mozilla Thunderbird client.

Commentary and Examples

The following might be helpful if your printer provides the "Scan to Email" setup in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

Once you have the setup in place, you can go back and edit the Profile (if desired / necessary).

Notes

• Even if your Scan to Email setup is available in EWS, it may look different from the examples included in this post.
• The example email was set up with two-step verification OFF and "allow insecure apps" ON.  If you do not want to risk your main email account, consider creating a separate email to be used with this feature.  You can always "forward" the emails along to another account.

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
