When setting up "Scan to Network Folder (not using Quck Sets) what user name and password is

used?

To expand, you can use any username and password that has access rights to the folder you wish to save to. A prudent security approach to this is to create a unique username and password that only has access to that one folder and no access to anything else. This way, on the off chance that this password gets compromised, a hacker will not have blanket access to all your data. You should never use a username and password that has administrative rights.

Hi,

You should use your Windows User Credentials (user and password).

Be sure to share the folder and provide Full Permissions for the used Windows Account.

A revelation !!

About ten days ago I started to understand that the same user name can have

different passwords in several different locations !! This explains why I had

so much trouble with authentication - - I was usung the right  password in

the wrong application . Probably everyone knows this, but I sure didn't !!!
