Hi, I hope someone might be able to help me with 'batch scanning' photos using my Photosmart 7520 autofeeder
I have a lot of photos to scan and would like to use the auto feeder to speed up the process. The issue I have is when I scan several photos, the standard software stores them as one file name. I would like to save each photo wth its own name so it is easier to view or use later.
Does anyone know how this can be done?
Many thanks

Hi,
The top feeder is only intended for plain paper.
Please do not scan photos from it, scanning such a thick paper from the feeder will get your hardware broken quite fast...
You may give HP Scan Extended a try, it may help achieving your needs:
- Install HP Scan Extended below:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi - Open HP Scan Extended from Start > All Apps > HP.
- select Save as JPEG
- Be sure to set the Item type as Photo, not as document.
- Set the Page Size as Auto Detect Size and press the disk icon to save the changes.
- Place some photos on the flatbed glass, be sure to have some space from one photo to another.
- Press scan and the seperate photos should get detected.
- Make any changes if necessary and then press Save.
