Hi,
I try to scan several pages using the ADF. Papersize setting is A4. But I do get only white and empty papers as a result. Yes, I inserted the paper correctly. Somewhere I read that the papersize and the setting must match. But as far as I can see they do match.
Where ist the problem?
Regards Stephan

Hi @dakjdsfheui,
Thanks for becoming an HP community member. A very good day to you. I reviewed the post regarding the scanning issues with the Chromebook. It will be a delight to assist you with this.
Brilliant description, and splendid diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. You are a valued HP customer and I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
For better clarity and to assist you better, I would require more information regarding this.
- Have you tried to make a few copies directly from the printer using A4 size paper to check if it copies fine?
- Is the scanner glass light moving back and forth to scan the image?
- Have you checked in product specs support it?
For a start please make a few copies using A4 size paper.
We need to isolate the issue to being hardware or software related.
- Please try to make a few copies directly from the printer from the ADF without any intervention from the computer. Please place a document face up on the ADF and push copy.
- If it copies fine, please follow the steps from this link to print and scan from the Chromebook: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Scanner-Software-and-Chromebook/td-p/51492...
- If it does not copy, please try a different brand of A4 size paper. Please check if the paper type and paper size are supported by looking up the product specs of the printer from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Officejet-4622-e-All-in-One-Printer/5101229/model/5218809/do... from paper-handling specifications.
Finally, try scanning a different sized paper and check if it scans correcly.
Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply.
Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
