I have gone through your Post and would like to help

 

Please follow the instructions in step 3 -4 from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-6970-all-in-one-printer-series/8289585/model/1... to clean the ADF rollers and update the firmware
