HP 8620
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I Like to have the date&time for my scans, it helps when doing multiple scans. and if I have muiltiple scans coming in at once, it would be nice to be able to sequence them.

How can I set variables in the base name in order to do this can I use %%datetime%%? or some other form of a variable to plug in when a file was scanned?

would be very helpful.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

We'll like to suggest an Scan software upgrade for you:

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Once in the HP Scan extended, check out this resource on how to set the base fileame, date and time.

HP Envy Photo 7855 : Scan a document to PDF with a specified filename & date & time

Hope that helps!
