I have searched forums and can't narrow down how this started happening all of a sudden. When I scan a page, it prints (and shows in preview) 2 verticle bands on the printed page. Again, this ONLY happens from a scanned page. One on each side ends of the page. I did everything so far recommended and nothing seems to work. The printer is out of warranty. This printer does not have an ADF and I have cleaned the glass many times as well as have done a hard reset on the printer and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. Any ideas??

Welcome to the HP English Community --
If not tried...
Shine a light diagonally across the glass -- look for tiny spec, chip, or other damage on the surface.
Use a soft, small bristled brush to sweep out the edges of the glass.
