CANT GET TO FAX, SOMETHING WENT WRONG 

It seems that an error has occurred before the sending process. Please, try to send your fax again.

I HAD THE SAME PRINTER AND GOT RID OF AS I THOUGHT IT WAS DONE FOR AS IT USED TO FAX ALL THE TIME.  ARE THEY NOW CHARGING YOU TO FAX?  DO YOU HAVE TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT?  THAT IS NOT DISCLOSED ANYWHERE AND I HAVE OVER 50 HOURS OF TRYING TO GET THIS HP DESKJET 4100 ALL IN ONE SERIES TO WORK

You can only be charged for using Mobile Fax

IF the endless (years long) trial period has ended

AND

IF you have been offered and have subsequently signed up for a paid plan

You cannot magically be charged without having been offered the opportunity to do so and without having signed up.

AND

In my opinion, it is unlikely you would sign for a service without being aware of the action of selecting a  plan and agreeing to that plan.   ?

If the persistent Trial Period continues, there is no Charge for the Mobile Fax service.

and

During the trial period, there is also no actual support if the application does not work.

Because the printer does not have any Fax hardware, the printer is not necessary to the Mobile Fax process. 

What?

If you believe the printer is at fault, perhaps use a mobile device and your device's camera to send a test fax.
