Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

I understand that you are unable to scan. I'd like to help!

 

Are you able to print and copy normally?

How are you trying to scan? Using windows pc, Mac, iPhone, or Android?

Have you done any changes to your printer or software?

Please update the firmware from here

 

Also, follow the steps from the link here using Hp Print and scan doctor.
