Until recently I could ask Alexa to scan to email but since 200722 it does not and Alexa states there is no printer linked to ? When I attpted to sort . When I choose link account I get the following error

Web page not available

The web page at http://theauth.voice.hp10.us/ could not be loaded because:

net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

If I ask Alexa to print a list etc, it prints ok.

Hi @Mc2663,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error you're encountering when linking your printer to Alexa might be due to a few different issues, such as network connectivity problems or changes in the service configuration. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check Internet Connection

  • Stable Network: Ensure your printer and Alexa device are both connected to a stable internet connection.
  • Restart Router: Sometimes, restarting your router can resolve connectivity issues.

2. Update Firmware and Software

  • Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Go to the HP Support website to download and install the latest firmware for your printer model.
  • Alexa App: Make sure the Alexa app on your mobile device is updated to the latest version.
  • HP Smart App: Ensure the HP Smart app is also up to date.

3. Re-Link Printer in Alexa App

  • Remove and Re-add Printer:
    1. Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.
    2. Go to Devices and then Printers.
    3. Find your printer and select it, then choose to forget or remove the device.
    4. Go back to Devices and select Printers.
    5. Choose Add Device and follow the instructions to re-link your printer.

4. Check Alexa Skills

  • HP Printer Skill:
    1. Open the Alexa app and go to More > Skills & Games.Search for the HP Printer skill and ensure it is enabled.
    2. If it is enabled, try disabling and then re-enabling it.Follow the instructions to re-link your HP account.

5. Reset Printer Network Settings

  • Restore Network Settings:
    1. Power on your printer.Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button for 20 seconds.
    2. The printer will restart and reset network settings to factory defaults.
    3. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the HP Smart app.

6. Use Different Browser or Device

  • Different Browser: Try accessing the web page using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge) on your mobile device or computer.
  • Different Device: If you are using a mobile device, try using a computer to access the web page and link the printer.

Thank you for your assistance. Unfortunately, it did not solve and the issue is still there. It's weird as I can ask Alexa to print a shopping list and it does? So it does see the printer
