When scanning a document I get a long verticle black line on the document. Tried cleaning everything inside the scanner. Line still there. What can I do?

This is perhaps either in the printer or there might still be a tiny spec of dirt in the ADF / glass (flatbed).
Try again?
Use a flashlight (torch in the UK); shine the light at an angle along the glass.
Clean, clean, clean.
Use a tiny brush to sweep all along the edges of the glass.
