When scanning a multiple page document (not pictures), the scanner separates each page to it's own file. I need to keep the pages together as one document. I've attempted to find where I need to correct this but cannot figure it out.

Hi! @DawnLHS, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand while scanning multiple pages from your printer the scanner separates the page to its own file.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Please try the steps recommended below. (Windows)
From the desktop, click the HP Officejet 6978 icon.
Under Scanner Actions, click Scan a Document or Photo.
Select the PDF shortcut.
Click Advanced Settings.
Under the File tab, make sure to uncheck the "Create a separate file for each scanned page" and try scanning again.
Let me know if this works!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

I would like to scan multiple pages into one PDF. I have sourced several threads in an effort to solve this, but none them are applicable. The 6978 thread suggested go to "advanced settings" after choosing "save as pdf", but there is not an "advanced settings" to select.
HP Officejet 6978 (software is 6970)
I have tinkered with every conceivable option and continue to come up empty. Please assist.
