1)  EWS - Tray and Paper - Relevant to using paper - Printing

Skip this section when not relevant

Open

User Guide – HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e Series

Starting Page 11

Next, Page 25

After changing the paper -- or opening / closing the intake tray,

Confirm / Modify / Update the Paper Size / Type on the Printer Control Panel

OR

If the printer is on your network,

View / Adjust the Paper Size / Type using the Embedded Web Server (EWS) - Tray and Paper

Next,

Adjust / Verify the Source / Tray settings in your job configuration.

If "Auto" select does not work, Select the Source / Tray

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EWS > HP Document / How-to (InkJet Printers – Original Format)

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

OR

2)  Scanning - Windows / Mobile - HP Smart

HP Smart - Windows / Mobile - applications do not understand the concept of setting Presets / Defaults other than those in the application.

Select options as needed.

Scan Area selection criteria might be different for Document Feeder (ADF) and for Scanner Glass (Flatbed).

General Example - HP Smart - Windows - Scan > Presets = Photo

HP_Smart_Win_Scan_Document_Save_11HP_Smart_Win_Scan_Document_Save_11

3)  Scanning - HP Scan

HP Scan -- and, when supported, HP Universal Scan (model and OS dependent) -- understand the concept of Custom Shortcuts AND include a setting to "Detect" the content size at least when that content is placed on the Flatbed / Glass.

Page Size "Detect" wording differs according to the scan type (PDF / Photo - Image).

HP Scan supports "Entire Scan Area" at least when using the Glass / Flatbed

General Example - HP Scan (original format) - Windows - Main Menu / More >
