Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Hi @Awalla61,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some steps you can take to find a Windows 11 driver.
- Visit the Official HP Support Website: Go to the HP support website (https://support.hp.com/), and look for the drivers and downloads section. Enter your scanner model (Scanjet G4010) and navigate to the drivers section. Check if there are Windows 11 drivers available. If not, you might find Windows 10 drivers that are compatible.
- Windows Update: Windows 11 has a built-in driver update feature. Connect your scanner to your computer, and then go to "Settings" > "Windows Update" > "Check for updates." Windows may automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for your scanner.
- Compatibility Mode: If you can't find a specific Windows 11 driver, try using the Windows 10 driver in compatibility mode. Right-click on the driver installer, go to "Properties," navigate to the "Compatibility" tab, and choose to run it in compatibility mode for Windows 10.
Always ensure that any drivers you download come from official and reputable sources to avoid potential security risks. Additionally, check for updates regularly, as driver support can change over time.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
