Can I scan on my HP Inspire Envy 7900e without using the smart app?

I am using a MacBook Pro with, Mac OS Monterey 12.5.1

Every time I want to scan I must:

Open the app

Wait 19 seconds

tap 'scan'

Then wait to 4 seconds  login - login was not remembered since yesterday 

login - username was not remembered

Type in user name and saved password 

Wait another 10 seconds and finally 'in' and ready to scan.

I am using Elon Musks Starlink internet connection and a brand new MacBook Pro.

Whole process takes about 3-5 minutes depending how quick I can type the passwords which the app does not seem to be able to remember from 5 mins ago!

Sometimes I work without internet connection, due to being mobile.

Is there anywhere I can download permanent scan drivers - similar to the permanent Print drivers 

Otherwise the printer is useless to me!

The previous HP 7800 printer did not use HP smart and worked fine for the past 2 years until it's recent death.

 

Please can someone help with a solution before this printer has an early retirement

You may also try and install  Hp easy scan
