When I use the HP scan utility on my Mac, the scan is perfect, but from when I started using this option, it won't scan anymore from my printer-scanner. When I press the scan option on the printer, the scan that appears on my Mac is white. Why has the HP scan utility stopped creating a proper scan when I ask for a scan from the printer display? The light moves across in both scenarios, but the result is very different. Following other recommended instructions (like disconnecting for a while) does not help...

I see that you are facing issues with scanning from the printer control panel.
I suggest that you scan using HP Smart app.
Please follow the steps listed in this document to scan using HP smart App.

Thank you for your reply. I KNOW that I can scan using the HP Smart app - but when scanning multi-page document it is a lot easier to scan from the printer-scanner itself and that has stopped working (producing white, empty pages on my computer). I really don't understand why you're not familiar with this problem, or why there is no fix for this?
