No idea - sounds odd.

 

There are paid scan software packages out there - my understanding is that the software is either purchased or subscribed - not individual scans.  ??  Of course, I don't have anything like that, so anything is possible.

 

Not sure what "Nav" means - perhaps it is a remote location for which you have to pay to access??

 

The only "pay" service that I'm aware that might be relevant:

 Instant Ink Print-by-Page subscription

 

The Instant Ink subscription model is based on Pages Printed -- it is not based on scan content saved into to a storage device (disk / cloud / shared to email).

 

What if?

IF you have an Instant Ink subscription,

If you scan content and then Print that content (for example using HP Smart),

(then)

Each page you print will count as a page used in your monthly Instant Ink subscription plan.
