Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP LaserJet MFP M29w scanner is not creating output files on Windows 10, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Restart your Computer and Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting both your computer and printer can resolve temporary issues.
  • Check Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi, depending on your setup.
  • Update Drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can download them from the HP website.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Sometimes, Windows updates can resolve compatibility issues. Make sure your Windows 10 operating system is up to date. Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w Printer
  • Reinstall HP Scan Software: Try reinstalling the HP Scan software on your computer. Sometimes, corrupted software installations can cause issues.
  • Check Scanner Settings: Ensure that the settings in your scanning software are configured correctly. Make sure the output file format and destination folder are set appropriately.
  • Check for Errors: Look for any error messages or codes displayed on your computer or printer's control panel. This can provide clues as to what might be causing the issue.
  • Try a Different Application: If you're using a specific scanning application, try using a different one to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the application itself.
  • Test with Another Computer: If possible, try scanning from another computer to see if the issue is isolated to your Windows 10 system.
