Hello, since an update of Windows 10 a couple of month ago, I still can print to the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 177fw. But when I try to make a scan, the printer gets a command from the notebook and the documentfeeder starts working. But then I get a message: "Scanner not found". HP Smart says that the printer is ready.
I tried to reinstall the printer, but nothing fixes the problem.

Hello Shlomi, thanks for your answer. For sure I will try your solution. But the printer works for 100% before the Windows update. But I discovered that my printername not anymore is listed in the supported printerlist. Very strange.

Hi,
Download and install the full feature software to scan with HP Scan, HP Smart is intended for much newer printers and not expected to scan from older printer models:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/LES/M177/Color_LJPro_MFP_M177_full-solution_16260.exe
