HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer series

We us the HP Photosmart 7520 as our busines fax machine. Though our settings are turned on to print fax confirmations, they are no longer doing so. It's also no longer printing or accepting incoming faxes no matter how many times I hit the accpet button. I checked the settings, but they are all turned onto print. All the ink cartridges are full except for the larger black one and we should have a replacement in soon.  We are a business and can't be without our fax machine so please any and all help would be nice.

Well the printer cannot work with any empty ink cartridge so the lack of the Photo Cartridge might be the reason.

 

As well a problem with the printer or ink system might be related to the empty ink and might be related to any other hardware failure or due to any ink problem.

 

You may try following these steps to troubleshoot a such:

Hi Jackie,

Is there any error shown on the printer?

 

Can you successfully perform a black copy or is there any error shown?

 

Also please test the fax functionality by tapping Fax > Settings > Fax Tools > Run Fax Test and let me know the results, did the test pass or is there any error in the printed report or on the printer screen?

 

Please let me know the results to get a better understanding, as the fax will not work unless the device itself is ready and functions correctly..

There is an error that pops up, but then it goes away after a while. It says there's a problem with the printer or ink system. turn printer off, then on. if problem persisits, contact HP. So, yeah. I can't get out of it but then it goes away after I turn it off and on a few times but then the printer will not work and it's just a vicious cycle! They gave me a number so I will call soon.
