Year 2008 HP all-in-one 5610 printer gave up the ghost

All of  a sudden today (May 16,  2023),  my   out-of-warranty  HP    5610  All-in-One   printer  (bought in  July  2008) gave up with  printing  (using  a    black  ink   #   27   cartridge  which  I   added  to  my  printer  in  February   2023,  only  3  months  ago).     Any  chance  of   bringing  my  HP   5610  All-in-One  printer  back  to  life  with  a   new  ink  cartridge,  or  should  I  just  buy  a  new  printer?

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information.

Well, this printer seems to have had pretty good years. 

However, try the steps from this document, and if that does not help, then it's time for a new printer.

I bought a new  HP  2755e    printer  yesterday to replace my  15-year-old   5610  All-in-One   printer  since  I  didn't  think  that  my  old   HP  printer  was  fixable.
