I have a home network and two printers connected to it wirelessly. One is HP Laserjet P1102w and works fine. The other is HP Officejet 7410 All-in-One and I'm not able to connect it. I have installed the HP software but it fails to detect the printer. It was working fine before updating from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
I am able to ping the printer's IP. If I enter the IP on my browser I can see the printer (see photo below) and it let me scan (see photo showing preview). But I haven't been able to find where the scan goes! It's not in my scans.
I ran HP Print and Scan Doctor and it shows the HP Officejet 7400 series. When I select it and press next it says: Unsuccesful communicating with your selected product. I noticed the IP shown differs slightly from the actual IP that has the format: xx.x.x.xx. The one shown is xx.x.xxx. Dont' know if that's part of the problem.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey @Marvest,
I understand that you are having some options with printing to an Officejet 7410 All-In-One Printer on your Windows 10 PC. I can help you with that.
Now, it sounds like you have already performed a lot of our usual troubleshooting steps, so I'm going to be posting a list of possibilities.
Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.
If you have another computer then try installing and printing from that device. If you are able to do so then there is a firewall or security setting on the original PC that needs adjusting. I would disable any firewalls or antivirus programs before installing to see if that helps.
The IP Address being a little different can be an issue, but not if zeroes and spacing are involved. For example 192.168.1.5 is technically the same as 192.168.01.05. It is okay if the last set of digits is different, that's actually required to keep things simple. 192.168.1.5 and 192.168.1.6 are on the same network. That said, 192.168.2.4 would be a different network. If this is the case then I suggest reconfiguring the network so the devices think there's only a single network.
Please let me know if this resolves your issue or if you have any other questions. Otherwise, have a great day!

Thank you for taking the time to look into my issue. I followed your suggestions:
1) I installed the latest drivers from the link provided
2) I have another PC running Windows 7 and a laptop running Windows 10 on the same network. I am able to print from both.
3) I disabled the firewall and antivirus (Windows Defender) and tried to install again to no avail.
I'm not sure how to "reconfigure the network so the devices think there's only a single network". I'm using a Comcast modem/router which I can access entering its IP on my browser. Anything in particular I need to look for?
Thanks again for you help.

Some things you can have checked or changed on the router (and Comcast can help you with this if necessary):
- Open all ports.
- Enable Multicasting.
- Disable MAC filtering/MAC cloning.
- Disable the Guest Network.
- Make sure the router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz (Giga-hertz) band.
- If the network is already broadcasting a 2.4GHz band then disable the 5.0GHz band.
Please let me know if this allows you to print to that printer. Otherwise, have a great evening!

@DocCottle: Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately for some reason I didn't get a notification when it was posted and I just saw it but first tried Shlomil fix and that worked.
@Shlomil: Success!!! I'm connected now. It gave me a couple of warnings in the process. For others that might find this thread, the first was regarding Bing Toolbar. It said it cannot be installed on this computer. That's fine with me. No need for it. The second warning was that I had already connected one device to the network and that it needed it to disconnect it first before proceeding with the installation. I said yes, and the installation was successful completed.
Thank you for this solution. I hope it helps others facing the same situation.
Cheers.
