Welcome to the HP User Community.
True - the printer hardware does not support borderless printing.
Borderless Printing | No |
The printer also requires a larger margins along the bottom edge:
Print Margin Bottom (A4) | 12.7 mm |
Print Margin Left (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Right (A4) | 3 mm |
Print Margin Top (A4) | 3 mm |
Some features are only available on more expensive devices.
HP Smart - Example - Android
After you open the app, select your photo, and click to Print the photo,
After the Options are displayed (Layout, Copies, Color Mode, and Paper Size),
Click More Options
If it is displayed, Deselect "Borderless"
Next,
Under Scaling, Select "Fit to Page" as opposed to the stretch and "Fill Page" option.
Click the < arrow / button
Click the tiny blue Printer icon to print with your selections
