We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

After changing my **bleep** password, my scan to email function on my office jet pro 9015 does not work,  I updated my password in my settings, however, scan to email still not working.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

Since you changed your email password, your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015's "Scan to Email" function may not be authenticating properly. Here are steps to fix it.

 

Update the SMTP Settings with New Password

Even though you've updated the password in settings, double-check these:

  1. Access the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):
    • Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel (under Network Settings).
    • Open a web browser and enter http://[your printer's IP address].
  2. Go to Scan → Scan to Email → Outgoing Email Profiles.
  3. Edit the email profile and re-enter your new password.
  4. Ensure correct SMTP settings (for example, if using Gmail):
    • SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
    • Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
    • Authentication: Enabled
    • Username: Your full email address
    • Password: Your updated password

Enable “Less Secure Apps” (if using Gmail, Outlook, etc.)

  • Some email providers block apps after a password reset.
  • For Gmail: Enable App Passwords or Less Secure Apps under Google Account Security.
  • For Outlook/Office365: You may need to create an App Password in your Microsoft account.

Restart Printer & Test Scan to Email

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 30 seconds, and restart it.
  • Try scanning to email again.
