I understand you're having trouble setting up scan and print functions on your new computer with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9129e All-in-One Printer. Let's walk through the steps to get everything working smoothly on Windows 11.
Install HP Smart App (Required for Setup & Scanning)
HP Smart is the recommended app to set up your printer, print, scan, and manage settings.
- After installing, sign in or create an HP account.
- Click “Add Printer” and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer via Wi-Fi or USB.
Enable “Scan to Computer” Feature
Once your printer is added to HP Smart:
- Open HP Smart.
- Click on “Scan”.
- If prompted, enable “Scan to Computer”.
- You can now scan directly from the printer’s control panel or from the app.
Optional: Install Full Feature Software (for advanced scanning options)
If you prefer using HP Scan software or want more control over scan settings:
- Download and install the Full Feature Software.
- This includes HP Scan, which allows scanning to PDF, JPEG, email, etc.
Check Windows Settings
Make sure your computer recognizes the printer:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Ensure your printer is listed and marked as default.
- If not, click “Add device” to manually add it.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Restart both printer and PC after installation.
