my new HP printer scan works but only scans it as .JPG - looking through HP website they recommend i install HP Smart app.

Installation of the app reports - Code: 0x80240024,  

All the help is appreciated.

What model HP Printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

 

You may use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win PC

Click here to download and know more about the app.

 

Alternatively, you may go to the HP Support site and download the full-featured printer driver to print and scan.
