We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

 can’t print, copy, or scan on my hp office jet pro 8710. when I hit copy, then select black, the display screen shows "printing 1/1" and the time indicator turns in a circle for hours. Left it running for a day. When I print via Wifi on the laptop the same results take place. It captures the file and starts the "printing" on the printer display. I am able to open the settings on the printer and select the HP copy machine and Printer status report, but I do the same for the HPwifi set up (wifi status report)which shows up next to the HP Copy machine, and the "printing" stall activity takes place. 

The scanner light turns on for a brief second then turns off just before the "printing" display stall takes place.

I am able to print out an Extended Self-test report, Wifi-Direct Guide, 

I have installed the HP Support and solutions frame work software, and HP print scan Dr. I used them to both do a software and hardware rest. This of course included a firmware restore. When the Printer comes back up it is able to print out a Print Aline sheet that is printed on both sides of the paper. All firmware and software has been updated.

 

It seems as if the Print spooling folder is full, or there is some 'blocking' command that cannot be removed through reset and must be manually changed. 

When I use my cell phone and attempt to print via Wifi -direct my phone gets a message that it was "blocked" by the printer.

 

Any fix will do.

This looks like an issue with the printer itself and not the printer software. Let us reset the printer to its factory settings that may resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
