HP 4520
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I am using HP 4520 all-in-one printer scanner to scan. My Macbook Air runs mac0S 10.12 Sierra.

The scanning window detail view used to contain a click box for combining all of the files in the named scan into a single PDF. That click box no longer appears.

In preferences, I have tried resetting the printer system, using "Secure Air Print," "Air Print," and "HP 4520." None of these changes have made any difference.

Having to scan each page as an individual document and then combine them into one PDF is tedious and time-consuming. Please advise how to return the "combine" options to the scanner view screen.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Can you try this:

From the Applications folder delete any existing HP Scan or HP Easy Scan app.
Delete HP Scan or HP Easy Scan by moving it to trash, then empty the trash.

Ensure the latest software is installed, use this link for your printer:

macOS X : HP Easy Scan

Also, make sure that your drivers are up to date

> Click on the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update
>Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.

Hope that helps!
