Hp Envy 4520 all in one printer has no option to scan as a word doc

Most printers can't scan as a word doc.

Supported file types for scanning are: pdf. tiff, jpeg, bmp, pnd.  You can convert to the MS Word if you have OCR software, but you can scan as a word.

thanks for prompt reply you say i can scan as a word doc but no such option is available on the printer control panel

You can't scan as a word document, that is not possible.

 

You can convert a previously scanned pdf. document to word document but that has nothing much to do with the printer it's done with OCR software on a computer.
