good morning, I have checked the cord cable and its fine. I did a fax test, but the only thing fail was the Dial Tone detection.  If the fax line condition test passes the using correct type of phone cord with fax pass the phone cord connected to correct port on fax pass the fax connected to active telephone wall jack pass and the fax hardware test pass, why is not detecting.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I see that you are facing fax issues with your HP Officejet pro 8710 all in one printer.

 

Please follow the steps listed below to restore the fax settings to factory defaults:

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 

2. Touch Printer Maintenance. 

3. Touch Restore. 

4. Touch Restore Settings. 
5. Select Fax and Touch Restore. A message appears stating that the settings will be restored. 

6. Touch Yes.
