Hi,
Click the Apple icon and select About This Mac, then click on Software Update.
Click the top Store menu and select Reload Page, be sure to install any shown HP or Apple update.
Now open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, you should see your printer listed twice - as a printer and as a fax.
If no Faq wuwu is shown click the plus button and add it.
Te Fax queue may won't immediately appear, it may take up to a minute for it to show.
Once the Fax queue was added send a print to it, then a Fax dialog will appear to allow faxing from yoru Mac.

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.

Nice instructions, only marred by the reality that there is no HP software on the Mac app store other than HP Easy Scan, and there is no way to add a fax version of the HP M276nw printer using System Preferences.
To put it plainly, these instructions do not work.

Correct, it does not work. "Since October 2016, HP printer software packages are no longer delivered through Apple Software Update. Visit 123.hp.com to download the latest HP software for your printer. Alternatively, if your printer supports Apple AirPrint, you do not need a driver to print from your Mac or iOS device." Even then, I do not see fax driver is available on Mac for HP 477dw printer that I have.
