I just installed the google drive app on the 8710. The scan & upload utility works fine.
The problem I'm having is that once it scans, the successful status appears, and it never goes away even after I touch "OK". Tried many times, but it doesn't go back to allow me to scan again
The other question I have is how can I configure the app to scan different paper sizes, or scan double sided?

Restart the devices
- Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
- Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
- Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
- Turn on the computer.
Update the printer firmware
HP regularly releases new printer firmware versions with product enhancements or issue fixes. Depending on your printer, apps on the printer control panel might also receive updates. Update firmware and apps on a regular basis to make sure you are getting the most out of your printer. Refer to this link for help.
Now, try scanning.

Thanks for the tip. I do see how I can configure settings... and I see that the settings are limited (max 200dpi resolution)
However I still have the problem where after the scan, it is not possible to do another scan because the "scan successful" never goes away, no matter what I do, I keep pressing "OK" but it never goes away and does not give me the option to scan again

Thanks. I had already tried turning off the printer and that seemed to do the trick
Is there a way to test the printer's upload speeds? What I'm seeing is the upload taking a long time to upload files that are relatively small (< 1 MB). My internet is quite fast I don't know why that is happening

Assign a manual IP to the printer
1) Print a Network configuration page from the printer's control panel.
2) Look for IP address from the Network configuration page.
3) Open a web browser - Chrome or IE or any other browser that you are using.
4) Type the IP address mentioned on Network configuration page into the browser's address bar or URL bar and press enter button.
5) Go to the Network tab.
6) Click on Networking from the left pane.
7) Then click on Network Address (IP).
😎 Click on Manual IP Address and go to suggest a Manual IP.
9) Scroll down the screen and select Manual DNS server.
10) Enter the Primary and secondary DNS server from the Network Configuration page into the Manual Preferred DNS server field.
11) Click on Apply.
Refer to the video link for step by step instructions - Assigning an HP Printer a Static IP Address in Windows 8 | HP
Note: The video is for win 8 but steps are similar for other operating systems as well. You need to enter the IP address in the browser's URL or the address bar to access the printer page.
